Rome
02.JPG

Our hotel was strange. A combination of crazy, good & ordinary. But it was in a fantastic position.

The bathroom. Certainly not to everyone's taste. Especially ours.

The very beautiful Trevi Fountain

03.jpg

Even more beautiful at night. The tourists never seem to stop.

04.jpg

We did a night tour of Rome. All the gorgeous architecture lit up to feature.

05.jpg

Arches...a specialty in Rome it seems

05a.JPG

The Colosseum. Awesome in its size and spectacle.

06.jpg

The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Rome. Surprising that this is not better publicised. Certainly an amazing place to visit.

06a.JPG

The features of the Tomb were incredible. Happily, we were able to walk to it from our hotel.

06b.JPG

If you go to the top, there are spectacular views from the promenade. You can even see the Colosseum.

Looking down to Rome central. Wonderful shops and cafes. Constant hustle and bustle

06d.JPG

The plaza at the front of the Tomb. Rome is beautifully laid out and easy to get around.

07.jpg

On our walks, we found this crazy wax works gallery. It featured some of the worst wax figures we'd seen. Still, good for a laugh.

Any wonder Angelina Jolie split with him!

Mr Obama almost looks worse than Mr Trump here. (But not quite)

Delicious food in every cafe and restaurant.

All good things come to an end. We flew to Athens and the lovely gay flight attendant gave us our first bottle of Limoncello to try. We're now offically hooked. Ciao Roma!!
